Ecological Park

An Eco-Educational park for students and public

One of the core values of sustainability is concentration of the built environment, in order to leave as much space for vegetation. Instead of spreading the functions of the school in different buildings on campus, the design brings them together into one hybrid structure. The school, together with the surrounding residential and public buildings, define a new eco-educational park for the use of the students and the public.

The park is designed to form a self-sustaining, stable eco-system of flora and fauna, that emulates the forest native to the local region and thrives by interrelationships between its components.

The park gives the students the opportunity to participate in the cultivation of the ecosystem, and also provides students recreational spaces such as playgrounds, sports facilities and gathering spaces.
